The account was shared by an X user, @mikeliberation, who said the friends formed the club earlier in the year and agreed to support any member who got married with a 32-inch smart TV, a deep freezer and a washing machine.
According to the post, the group’s first member got married in April, after which the friends contributed money, purchased the agreed items and presented them to him as wedding gifts.
However, two weeks after the wedding, the newlywed reportedly announced that he was no longer interested in being part of the club and subsequently left the group’s WhatsApp platform.
The following weekend, the other members allegedly visited his home without informing him beforehand.
The X user claimed that the friends collected the three items they had earlier presented to him and left with them.
“We carried away the TV, deep freezer, and washing machine and left,” the post read.
The account has sparked reactions online, with social media users debating whether the friends were justified in taking back the items after the newlywed left the club.
